OUr mission:

“The purpose of this organization shall be to create and maintain a spirit of good fellowship among the students interested in construction management and to promote the student’s interest in all aspects of construction management. This organization will sponsor activities to foster professional growth of the membership to empower and promote MNSU Construction Management Students through professional, social, and leadership opportunities.”

  • Deacon Finkenbiner

    President

    Deacon is currently a senior this year and is on his third year in CMSA. He started as an activities committee member, moved into the secretary position, and then this year rolled into the President position. Deacon enjoys spending his time building custom projects, hanging out with friends, golfing, hunting, and fishing.

  • Kyle Hauck

    Vice President

    Kyle is a junior in the Construction Management Program here at MSU, he started off as a Special events committee member in fall 2022. Now he has moved on to be Vice President. Kyle enjoys being active, playing sports, and spending time with friends and family.

  • Brady Kyllo

    Secretary

    Brady is from Hayfield, MN and currently a senior at MSU majoring in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration. He has moved into the secretary position for his second year of CMSA and enjoys hunting, fishing and recreational sports in his free time.

  • Connor McGraw

    Treasurer

    Connor is currently a junior this year and this is his second semester in CMSA. He joined in the spring and took on the role of Treasurer this upcoming school year. Connor enjoys golfing, reading sci-fi novels, and hands-on projects.

  • Trevor Turgeon

    Assistant Treasurer

    Trevor is from Shakopee, MN, and is a senior in the Mankato Construction Management Program. Trevor will be graduating in December this year. He joined CMSA in the Fall semester of 2022. Trevor is currently searching for a career in commercial/industrial construction.

  • Ben Anderson

    Activities Director

    Ben grew up in Prior Lake and loves to watch Viking’s football every Sunday. He is a junior at MNSU and the Activities Director in CMSA.

  • Jayden Tiu

    Alumni Officer

    Jayden is a junior this year at Mankato and his second year in CMSA. He started as an alumni committee member and now this year is the alumni chairman. When off campus he likes to go golfing and fishing with his buddies.

Activities committee

  • Brock Moor

    Brock is currently a freshman at MSU majoring in Construction Management. He is on the activities committee his first semester of CMSA. Brock enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing sports.

  • Eric Mauss

    Eric is a freshmen at MSU this year majoring in Construction Management. It is his first year being with CMSA. In Eric’s free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and playing sports with his friends.

  • Emilio Reyes

Special Events Committee

  • Nate Kerzman

    Nate is a junior studying in Construction Management while owning an auto detailing company called Kerzy’s Garage. He started this small company from the ground up and started marketing through word of mouth and Facebook. Those skills helped him land an internship with UsSitework; a utilities and civil contractor that offered him experiences in the office and on site.

  • Gavin Riebe

    Gavin is from Victoria, MN, and is a sophomore in the construction management program with a minor in business administration. This is Gavin’s first semester in CMSA as a part of the special events committee. In his free time, he loves to watch football, especially the vikings.

  • Riley Britton

    Riley is a second-year construction management student from Waseca, MN. This is his first semester in CMSA. He is a third generation plumbing and heating contractor with an interest in earthwork and HVAC.

Alumni Committee

  • Eddison Saywon

    Eddison is a purpose-driven student in the construction management program. He joined CMSA in 2023 as an alumni committee member. CMSA has also been a key factor in his network building and support behind his professional development. In his free time, Eddison enjoys working out and learning new things.

  • Tyler Williamson

    Tyler is from Dahlgren, MN and is currently a freshman at MNSU in the Construction Management program. This is Tyler’s first semester in CMSA and is excited to be working with the Alumni Committee. In his free time, he enjoys jet skiing in the summer and deer hunting in the winter.

  • Anthony Alioto

    Anthony is majoring in Construction Management and minoring in Business Administration. Anthony is interested in vertical construction and energy development. He enjoys playing soccer and rock climbing! He is looking forward to expanding his studies by studying abroad for energy and architecture.

Executive Committee

  • Clayton Romanoski

    Clayton has been a proud member of CMSA since 2020. First starting on a Committee his first semester at MNSU rolling into the Vice President position his second semester. Finally taking over the President position going into his Sophomore year. He now serves on the executive committee. Clayton is currently a Senior at MNSU and enjoys recreational sports and hunting in his spare time.

  • Carter Martodam

    Carter is currently a member of the Executive Committee for CMSA. He joined CMSA to make a fun experience for students through networking opportunities as well as to expand his professional horizons.

  • Jason Nelson

    Jason is currently a Senior Construction Management student expected to graduate in December 2023. He has been involved in CMSA since his freshman year, was the Alumni Officer since March 2022, and joined the executive committee in 2023. In his free time, Jason enjoys hanging out with friends, watching sports, hunting, and fishing.

  • Campbell Watkins

    Starting out as an Alumni Committee member as a freshman, Cam has been volunteering his time with CMSA since his freshman year. He served as the Vice President until Spring 2023, where he joined the executive committee. The Winona, Minnesota native plans to become a joint owner of a residential construction company in his hometown after graduating. When not in the classroom, Cam enjoys fishing, hunting, and watching hockey. Roll Mavs!

  • James McCormack

    James is a senior at MNSU studying Construction Management. He is a team player and works best surrounded by others with a "can do" attitude. In James’s free time, he enjoys working out and playing basketball.
